mini session stories // sisters picking apples in black and white
Sibling love. I am here for it.
Photographing families is a pretty sweet gig. One of the things I enjoy the most is observing the connection between siblings. I hang out with your fam and soak it all in. And then I photograph it, giving my all to creating photos that represent that special bond between your kids.
These sweet girls are a total treat. I had the best time hanging out with them and photographing their sister love. Baby is so curious of everything big sister. From her hair to her clothing, every movement, little sis wants in on it. I look at these photos and I think about the wonderful bond they not only already have, but will also continue to build upon throughout the years.
And I am looking forward to documenting ALL OF IT.
If you wanna pick apples with your family, or play in the backyard or hang at the lavender field, let’s do it!
Love your photographer,
Anna
Golden Gardens faces west, which means it's practically made for sunset sessions. As the sun drops toward the Olympics across the Sound, the light turns soft, warm, and a little hazy in the best possible way. It bounces off the water and wraps around everyone in the frame. I've photographed a lot of sunsets over the years, and there's just something about the way the light behaves here — it's forgiving, flattering, and endlessly photogenic.
What if mini sessions were like short stories? An activity that brought your family together, spending time engaging with one another, unplugged, and focused on the people you love most. Ignoring the camera and just allowing your life to be documented.
The glow that fills the sky at Golden Gardens right before sunset never gets old. It’s soft, golden, and full of life — the perfect backdrop for families who want photos that feel real and full of joy.
There's a reason fall is my favorite season to shoot. The light, the colors, the cozy sweaters - it's basically made for family photos. 🍂 Grab your fall mini session spot now!
Fall Was Cute, But Spring? Just You Wait. Every fall, families come out to Swans Trail Farms to soak up that crisp autumn air, pick apples, and capture all the cozy orchard vibes. But here’s the thing—before those apples even think about making an appearance, the trees explode into soft, delicate blossoms. Imagine those same dreamy rows of trees, only instead of apples, they’re covered in fluffy white and pink blooms. Yeah, it’s as magical as it sounds.

There’s something magical about Discovery Park in the fall. The golden grasses, the soft autumn light, and the backdrop of Puget Sound all come together to create the perfect setting for capturing your family’s story. My Discovery Park fall mini sessions this year were such a dream, and I couldn’t be more grateful to the families who joined me to make this season so special.

These sessions are perfect for families who want a casual, easy experience with photos that feel genuine and full of heart. Whether it’s siblings laughing together, kids showing off their chosen pumpkins, or couples sharing a quiet moment in the field, every shot captures the love and connection that makes your family unique.
Let's talk about Golden Gardens for a sec, because if you've followed me for any amount of time, you already know this place has my whole heart.
Every fall (and honestly, all year round) I find myself pulling into that parking lot again and again, and I never get tired of it. There's just something about that stretch of Seattle shoreline that makes every single session feel a little magical.
