As a documentary family photographer, I'm all about those candid, unscripted moments that happen naturally.
Sure, we'll take a few posed portraits, but most of the session will be spent just hanging out and having fun. I want to capture the joy and laughter of your family as you play, explore, and enjoy each other's company.
We'll spend 40 minutes together, and during that time, I'll capture a snapshot of your family's unique dynamic. Whether you're splashing in the ocean, picking apples at a local farm, or just lounging in your backyard, I'll be there to document the story of your family's life in that moment.
Your mini session includes 10 digital images, delivered in a password-protected gallery that you can share with friends and family. You make the selection of your favorite photos from a gallery of 20+ images! And if you want to turn those digital images into physical prints or albums, I've got you covered. I believe that family photos should be enjoyed and shared in the real world, not just on a computer screen.

how I create candid real-life moments for the camera
Oh, I love this question! You see, I don't really "create" candid moments during my lifestyle mini sessions - I capture them! I'm all about taking photos of your family in their natural element, doing what they do best - having fun and being themselves!
Of course, there are a few things I do to make sure we photograph those real-life moments. For starters, I like to create a relaxed and comfortable environment where everyone feels at ease. Before your session, I'll send you a brochure that explains how the process works, so you know what to expect and can feel at ease. I'll also take the time to get to know you and your family via questionnaire and email interactions, so we can build a rapport and create a comfortable space for your session.
During your session, I'll chat with you and give you some direction, so you don't have to worry about posing or figuring out what to do with your hands. And don't worry about those awkward silences - I'll keep the conversation flowing so we can capture those beautiful candid moments. For the most part, I'll just let you be you! We'll play games, explore the great outdoors, or do whatever activity you have in mind - and I'll be there to capture all the fun and laughter.
It's important to me that you feel comfortable and confident during your session, and that's why I take the time to get to know you before I even pick up the camera. By the time I start photographing your sweet fam, we'll already be friends, and you'll feel like you're just hanging out with someone you trust and enjoy being around. And that's when the magic happens!

All of my sessions revolve around an activity that your family loves to do. Whether it's picking blueberries, playing at the beach, selecting the perfect Christmas tree, or simply lounging in your own backyard, I've got you covered. For my other sessions, we plan an activity together, whether it's going to the farmer's market, playing at the park with your furry friends, or cheering on your little one at their soccer game.
By having an activity to focus on, my camera becomes less intimidating.
