I am so excited to share my mini sessions, fall beach sessions at golden gardens!! Let’s celebrate this beautiful fall weather and the beginning of the holiday season with photos of your family spending time at the beach!

Here are highlights from my beach session with this sweet fam. They met me at the beach for a beautiful sunlit fall afternoon of sand digging, water splashing, family beach fun. I love the gorgeous sunlit spring backdrop of the perfect northwest beach setting.

The thing I love the most about beach sessions is the open-ended play. It’s not as specific of activity as some of my other mini sessions. The water, the sand, the duck pond, so much adventure to be had!

Let's talk about Trinity Tree Farm for a second, because if you've been to a session with me out there, you already know - this place is an absolute blast to photograph. Tucked up on a hilltop in Issaquah with views out toward Mount Rainier on a clear day, it's easily my favorite spot for tree farm minis, and honestly, one of my favorite places to just hang out for an afternoon in general.

Golden Gardens Park: the best family photography location

Let's talk about Golden Gardens for a sec, because if you've followed me for any amount of time, you already know this place has my whole heart.

Every fall (and honestly, all year round) I find myself pulling into that parking lot again and again, and I never get tired of it. There's just something about that stretch of Seattle shoreline that makes every single session feel a little magical.

Golden Gardens faces west, which means it's practically made for sunset sessions. As the sun drops toward the Olympics across the Sound, the light turns soft, warm, and a little hazy in the best possible way. It bounces off the water and wraps around everyone in the frame. I've photographed a lot of sunsets over the years, and there's just something about the way the light behaves here — it's forgiving, flattering, and endlessly photogenic.

Let’s start with the location. Rusty Plow Farm in Enumclaw, WA is a dream, my friends. It is a family owned gorgeous blueberry farm with expansive views and the most delicious blueberries you ever did pick. Sue and Dave are the most delightful people and they will make sure you have THE BEST time on your visit. They don’t even mind if you sample a few blueberries while you’re picking.
