seattle lifestyle photographer // fall mini sessions in black and white
Fall beach mini sessions have quickly become my most popular lifestyle mini session offerings in Seattle.
The fall colors create a wonderful backdrop for your family pictures.
These are a fairly new mini-session offering for me. I have spent 10 years photographing families picking out their pumpkins at the pumpkin farm during the fall season. Two years ago, I decided to offer something different, in addition to my regular fall lineup of apple picking and pumpkin farm sessions.
And little did I know, my families would love it too!! These are my quickest booking sessions, next to Santa, and usually book out in a couple days. People book these sessions months in advance to get beautiful, candid family pictures at the beach, backlit with that gorgeous fall sunshine and fall colors on the trees. It’s just the best.
As a documentary family photographer, I focus mainly on candid, real-life moments. I will take a handful of unposed, lifestyle portraits, but most of your time will be spent just being you, and allowing the family fun to unfold. You just focus on your family, playing in the sand, reading books, running through the trees, and skipping rocks while I document the deep love and fun you have with your favorite people on the planet.
Love, your photographer

Golden Gardens faces west, which means it's practically made for sunset sessions. As the sun drops toward the Olympics across the Sound, the light turns soft, warm, and a little hazy in the best possible way. It bounces off the water and wraps around everyone in the frame. I've photographed a lot of sunsets over the years, and there's just something about the way the light behaves here — it's forgiving, flattering, and endlessly photogenic.
One of the most exciting things about being a lifestyle and documentary photographer is the opportunity to create a connection with my clients and become a part of their lives for a brief moment in time. I love getting to know each of you, hearing your stories, and being able to capture the essence of who you are through my photographs.
People are always asking me about mini sessions. I get it. Your kids are growing like weeds. Your life is busier than you ever thought possible. And maybe that day in the life session that your heart is longing for, just always seems slightly out of budget.
I am so excited to share my mini sessions, fall beach sessions at golden gardens!! Let’s celebrate this beautiful fall weather and the beginning of the holiday season with photos of your family spending time at the beach!

Hang out with your family while you spend some time at the beach. Bring a picnic, spend time with one another, and soak in the beauty of a classic PNW landscape as we document your family and your beautiful life together!

When I photograph a family, I always plan an activity. This helps facilitate those real, candid, memory-making-filled moments!
One of the very best ways to facilitate memorable family photos with your little ones is to involve FOOD.
I love to plan most of our family hangs around eating. So, naturally, the Ballard Farmer’s Market is one of our go-to family dates. Whether you’re into mounds of kale, locally brewed pickle brine, or hot off the press cinnamon donuts, the farmer’s market has you covered.
Prepare to snack your way through your family photos!

Let's talk about Golden Gardens for a sec, because if you've followed me for any amount of time, you already know this place has my whole heart.
Every fall (and honestly, all year round) I find myself pulling into that parking lot again and again, and I never get tired of it. There's just something about that stretch of Seattle shoreline that makes every single session feel a little magical.
