blueberry farm mini sessions // black and white

It’s been a while since I photographed my favorite families. It’s the year 2020, and as you know, most of us have been stuck at home and photography has been limited to phone shots of your kids and selfies within the walls of your home.

In late July and early August, I was lucky enough to photograph a few people at my favorite place The Rusty Plow Farm. I knew I missed my families and photographing them, but I had no idea how much!!

I was able to work with the farm closely to ensure the safety of my families and as they are essential, they had great precautions in place. It felt so good to get outside, pick some berries, see some of my favorite people, and make photos outside of my home again. Time away really reminded me how much I love photographing families and just straight up hanging out with them!!

I met this rad family when our kids were playing soccer together. We instantly connected and they became those people who we knew we could always count on to remember important things like sunblock and snacks. They are a dream of a fam and I loved seeing them after our time apart. We had so much fun talking, I had to remind myself to photograph them!!

My favorite thing about family photography is seeing the personalities of each family member come through in the pictures. Not just the kids, but the adults too!

As I was looking through photos when I got home from the farm, I couldn’t help but notice how many pictures of dad are centered around helping the kids pick berries and sure enough, the next photo was mom stealing berries from the buckets!! Haha I love them so much!

What a trouble maker.

Nichols family, thank you for meeting me at the farm and giving me some much needed hangtime. Love you all!!

As for the rest of you, I am taking a limited number of families this summer and fall. If you’d like to return to a bit of normalcy through a family date and pictures, give me a shout!

LOVE, YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
