mini session stories // playing on the beach with mom black and white
Playing on the beach with mom.
I have found that one of the best ways to document real-life family moments is to create visual stories. Not just document literally what’s happening in front of me, but to hone in on a theme.
THIS, TO ME, IS WHAT MAKES MY PHOTOGRAPHY DOCUMENTARY STYLE. THE STORY.
As a Seattle lifestyle photographer, I am passionate about capturing authentic, natural moments and the unique bonds between families and loved ones. My goal is to create beautiful, timeless images that tell the story of your life and preserve memories for years to come. For this theme, I focused on the beautiful friendship between a mom and her three daughters while they play on the beach. I love taking photos and making a collection of them that tells a story for my families. Perfect to place in an album and cherish forever.
Whether you are collecting rocks on the beach, skipping stones, or simply lounging on a beach blanket soaking in the love and fresh saltwater air, a documentary photographer will be there to freeze all the fun and capture the memories that make your family truly unique.
Let’s hang out at the beach and document the laughter, love, and everything in between!
Love, your photographer
Anna
Can we talk about Golden Gardens for a second? Because if you're looking for one of the best photo spots in Seattle, this place needs to be on your radar.
Tucked up in Ballard right along Puget Sound, Golden Gardens has this rare thing most Seattle beaches don't - actual sand. A lot of our shoreline around here is rocky or pebbly, so finding a real sandy beach like this one always feels a little special. It's the kind of spot where you can kick your shoes off, dig your toes in, and just exist for a while.
Golden Gardens sits right up in Ballard, along Puget Sound, and it's got this rare thing most Seattle beaches don't - actual sand. I get asked this question all the time - "can we bring our dog?" - and the answer is always a big, enthusiastic YES. So let's talk about pet-friendly fall minis at Golden Gardens, because these sessions might be some of the most fun I get to shoot all year.
Golden gardens mini sessions are a new offering that I am happy to introduce to my sweet fams!
Meet me at the beach for some family portraits and hangtime with your favorite people on the planet. I’ll photograph you while you build sand castles, splash around in the waves, throw rocks in the ocean, all the things!!
What if mini sessions were like short stories? An activity that brought your family together, spending time engaging with one another, unplugged, and focused on the people you love most. Ignoring the camera and just allowing your life to be documented.
Every time I photograph your family, I will take portraits of your family. This helps tell a cohesive story of your time together as a family. Portraits are a great way to show the details of your children’s faces and show their personalities through their expressions.
Let's talk about Trinity Tree Farm for a second, because if you've been to a session with me out there, you already know - this place is an absolute blast to photograph. Tucked up on a hilltop in Issaquah with views out toward Mount Rainier on a clear day, it's easily my favorite spot for tree farm minis, and honestly, one of my favorite places to just hang out for an afternoon in general.
Here's what makes sessions at Trinity so much fun.
Okay, I have to talk about tree farm minis for a sec because they might just be the coziest sessions I shoot all year. There's something about a tree farm in the winter - the rows of pines, the crisp air, that whole "we're about to pick out a Christmas tree" energy - that makes for some of my favorite family photos.
Hello Seattle families!
As the vibrant hues of spring paint the city with renewed energy, I'm thrilled to announce the extension of our beloved Golden Gardens sessions into the spring season!
