I love my community in Seattle so much. One of my favorite things is when a friend of mine asks me to take pictures of their family. It means so much to me. This is my daughter’s second grade teacher and her cute fam! I loved taking their photos at Swansons Nursery in Seattle while they snuggled their pups and picked out their Christmas tree!

One of the most important things to me is representing many different families. It seems sometimes people get caught up in family photos being people with kids. It seems photos of couples are always engagement or wedding photos. But seriously.

A family can take many forms, my friends!!

I remember when Derek and I were first married, we waited a bit to have a kid. People would ask us “when are you planning to start a family?” And I was always caught off guard. Ummm, start?

We ARE a family!
