why my families love swansons holiday mini sessions

Swansons Nursery has quickly become one of my absolute favorite places for family pictures. Even though I’ve only been offering these holiday mini sessions for one holiday season, my families are LOVING IT! Some of them even booked a holiday session for 2022, right after they saw their photos.

Why do they love it??

The nursery is BEAUTIFUL - from the lights to the greenery, there are so many lovely spots to take wonderful family photos.
There are so many things to do! Grab a warm beverage, check out the Christmas train, pick out your wreath or tree, and best of all, hang with your favorite people on the planet.
The kids have a mission! In my 9 years of photographing families with small children and 5 years specializing in documentary family photography, I have found it helps so much if kids have an activity. They are less likely to have a meltdown if they are focused on picking out the perfect tree. Also, a huge plus, is that having a family activity helps facilitate REAL MOMENTS and candid photos.
SNACKS! Food and warm beverages generally make people happy. There is a super cute cafe at Swansons Nursery with the kindest baristas! You will have the best time grabbing some snacks for your fam and saying hi to the fish in the pond while you’re at it.
Family-friendly environment! - Swansons is run by the most delightful people and they will make sure you have THE BEST time on your visit. Cherry on top, you can leave your family pictures knowing you’ve supported TWO local, family-owned businesses that day. How great is that?!
