Lately, I have been really falling in love with finding themes in my photos.
When I photograph your family, I watch for little microstories. Things that are important to you or cute little habits your kids have. It may be the way your child is attached to a favorite stuffy or the fact that your daughter loves to wear a princess dress while she looks for worms in the garden.
One of the stories I found while photographing this family at the beach was this stick. This adorable kiddo loved going everywhere with this stick. He wanted the stick in family portraits, he wanted to use it for digging in the sand, for pointing at rocks, for all the things.
All of these small themes or microstories are like pages that add up to the chapter of your day, chapters that make up the story of your life.
