Lifestyle and Documentary Summer Family Photography
Mini Session Activities.
The best way for me to get those treasured real-life moments for your photos is to have an activity planned.
People get really funny about pictures. Awkward and nervous and suddenly suuuuper aware of their hands, like they don’t know where to put them.
If you can come to the farm and have something planned to do, like pick berries, build a sandcastle or pick out your Christmas tree, I’m able to document your experience hanging out as a family. Then something magical happens, you forget about the camera, and just focus on time with the people you love most.
And after all is said and done, you have pictures of your family doing something cool together, building memories.
Love your photographer

And let me tell you—watching the next generation run across the same worn-down wooden deck, dig their toes into the same sand, and splash in the same tidepools? That’s the kind of magic that makes my job so special.
Because here’s the thing—your kids won’t always be this little. They won’t always be running through the sprinkler in their favorite too-small swimsuit or making popsicle drips into an art form. But this summer? This one is yours. And I want to help you bottle it up forever.

There’s something special about photographing families in their own backyard—where the real-life giggles happen, where the messes (the good kind) are made, and where the best memories are created. This is where your kids do their best work: chasing each other across the lawn, showing off their wildest trampoline moves, or insisting that you watch this cool thing for the hundredth time.

I am beyond excited to bring back Backyard Mini Sessions this summer! It’s been four years since I last offered these one-of-a-kind sessions, and they’ve always held a special place in my heart. There’s something truly magical about documenting families in their own space—where kids run barefoot in the grass, where favorite toys and backyard adventures unfold, and where everyday life is beautifully, authentically yours.

Sometimes, when I photograph your family, there is a story within a story.
These are moments that just can’t be scripted. This is your family in all its glory, just being yourselves in your favorite place on the planet. Home.
