Spring is in the air, and there's no better way to celebrate the season than with a cherry blossom mini session at the Washington Park Arboretum. The blossoms are in full bloom and make for the perfect background for family, couple, and individual portraits.
The arboretum is a hidden gem in the city, with over 500 acres of gardens, wetlands, and natural areas to explore. The cherry blossom collection is one of the most popular attractions, with over 2,500 trees representing over 200 varieties. The trees were a gift from the city of Tokyo in the 1920s, and they bloom in a stunning array of pink and white hues.

The mini sessions are held on the first weekend in April, when the blossoms are at their peak. Each session lasts 30 minutes and includes 10 edited digital images, selected from a private, password protected gallery. I will guide you through poses and locations to ensure that you get the most beautiful and natural-looking shots.
