summer series in black and white
Lately, I have been really falling in love with finding themes in my photos.
Yes, there is a theme, or story when I photograph your family of a day in your life, or an activity in your life, like the beach. But I mean, little microstories that I find while photographing your family. It may be the way your child is attached to a favorite stuffy or the fact that your daughter loves to wear a princess dress while she looks for worms in the garden.
One of the stories I found while photographing this family at the beach was sand. Details of sand on your baby’s face, sand being thrown at your feet, shadows in the sand on a sunny, summer day. All of these small themes or microstories are like pages that add up to the chapter of your day, chapters that make up the story of your life.
I would love to meet your family at the beach. And find those little stories that fill the pages of the book that uniquely represents your life, your people.
Love your photographer,
Anna
Bluberry farm mini sessions are a SOLID FAV.
Both for my clients and for me.
Let’s start with the location. Rusty Plow Farm in Enumclaw, WA is a dream, my friends. It is a family owned gorgeous blueberry farm with expansive views and the most delicious blueberries you ever did pick. Sue and Dave are the most delightful people and they will make sure you have THE BEST time on your visit. They don’t even mind if you sample a few blueberries while you’re picking.
So many families tell me blueberries are their baby’s favorite food.
I LIVE FOR THIS!!
Choosing photo shoots that are meaningful to your family are paramount to getting real life, authentic lifestyle, and documentary family portraits.
Well, hello my friends! Here I am again, in February, dreaming of the day when I get to be in the summer sunshine with you, photographing your sweet fams. It’s what gets me through the rainy Seattle winter, folks.
Hey there, it's Anna! I hope you're as excited as I am for spring mini sessions! As the weather starts to warm up and the flowers start to bloom, there's no better time to capture beautiful memories with your loved ones.
Are you ready to add some sweetness to your family photos? Look no further than Swan's Trail Farms for a strawberry picking photo session! As a lifestyle photographer in Seattle, I am excited to offer mini sessions among the rows of ripe strawberry plants. Imagine candid shots of your family picking and laughing among the lush red berries, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
As a Seattle-based lifestyle and documentary family photographer, my goal is to capture those precious moments that make up the story of your family. My approach is simple: I want to capture your family in a natural, unposed way that showcases the real personalities and relationships that make your family unique.
What happens if it rains?
I get this question every year. And I totally get it! You’re planning ahead for your photos and you don’t imagine them to be drenched in rainwater. But here is the thing. We live in Seattle. Rain is a part of our lives, almost daily, and it can be part of our photos too.
I love this family. They are one of my brand new fams who I fell in love with the very first second we were together. They have told me time and time again that they loved their session at Golden Gardens.
Why did they love it??
Golden Gardens Beach is iconic - ask anyone in the Seattle area for recommendations on a great beach for the fam and this is top of the list.
Golden Gardens is gorgeous - expansive views, the Olympics in the background, trees, nature, and refreshing PNW weather. What more could you ask for?!

Every time I photograph your family, I will look for details that help tell the story of your day. This helps tell a cohesive story of your time together as a family. Details are a great way to show those fleeting moments of childhood in, well, more detail.
From the smashed strawberry in your baby’s hands to the mud between your big kid’s toes, I want to document it all, so that you can relive those precious memories over and over for a lifetime.
