positive/negative space in your everyday life
think about the objects around you
A horizon line, the line the ground makes when it meets the sky. The sky can be a great use of negative space in a picture. The ground is the positive space.
An object silhouetted (looking dark against a bright backdrop) can appear as positive space. Remember, just because something is a darker color doesn’t mean it’s the negative space. This is a good example of that!
