photo class for kids at home

I am super pumped to share with you my new photo class for kids at home!!

I’ve been pouring my heart into this for a few weeks and even tested it out on my 8 year old daughter. She is now analyzing MY PHOTOS and telling me what works and what doesn’t. So, I think it’s safe to say she liked it!

Here’s a sneak peek of the design aesthetic of the class and course content.

I have based the content of this course on my love for art and design. I use games and design elements like shape, repetition and color to guide kids in analyzing art and photography, see it in a new way, and begin to find their own voice and artistic style!

The first class will explore shape by identifying favorite shapes, how they make us feel, and begin to recognize shapes in photos. A scavenger hunt will help your child see shapes in the world around them and begin to explore what they find interesting to photograph.

I am excited to announce that I am collaborating with my friends at Whistle and Flute on this project!! They have designed the cutest shapes with their signature look to be featured in the scavenger hunt game. They are the sweetest family and I love every chance I get to work with them!

I aimed to create a class that breaks down the content in a way that is fun and eye catching for your kids. I want them to experience this in their own way. It is not a rigid program. It is an exploration.

I have always loved teaching kids about art. This class is a very exciting new venture for me and I hope you will join in on the fun!

Love your photographer,

Anna
