mini session stories // the blueberry bow

This blue bow right here changed my life.

I know, it sounds dramatic. But hear me out.

For about five years, I’ve been shifting my photography business into exclusively documentary family photography. I was completely sold on the idea of documenting real life for my families in the most authentic and meaningful way possible.

Let it be known, I still love doing this.

BUT

I got so caught up in making sure my families were 100% themselves that I forgot to just let them BE THEMSELVES.

If your daughter wants to show up in a fancy big blue bow, I WANT HER TO!

I don’t want you to feel like you need to dress down or not look at my camera or not talk to me during your session just because I am trying to make candid photos.

Your family photo experience should be fun. Not a stressful day where you have to worry about following a bunch of rules.

So how about we take the stress out of it all, shall we?

No, you don’t HAVE to dress up. But if you want to, please do. YOU DO YOU!

I want your kids to be comfortable being themselves at the blueberry farm, in your home, or wherever we do your family photography session. Because it’s in that sweet spot, where your family feels safe, happy and comfortable to truly be yourselves, that the magic happens. THAT is when we get the real, honest, meaningful moments caught on camera for you to cherish forever.

Mahoney family, THANK YOU for sticking with me all the days. For supporting my business every step of the way and giving me the space to find myself as an artist. I love you guys!

As for the rest of you, I can’t wait to get to know your families, even more, enabling me to make meaningful photos that represent your family’s unique personality and flavor!

LOVE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER,

ANNA
