I’ve chosen one of my favorite weddings to share with you, start to finish!!

I photographed this wedding last fall at the most gorgeous winery in Quincy, Washington. This beautiful bride is a friend of mine from college. We studied interior design together and many many all nighters in studio were had. We bonded FAST.

I can’t tell you how meaningful it is for me to photograph weddings. To be a part of such a momentous day in someone’s life. The significance of this is not lost on me.

I’ll start by showing you their engagement session. We spent the evening together last summer at the most lovely blueberry farm in all the land — these are taken at the same location I do my blueberry farm mini sessions. Family owned by the best people!!

We had a pretty fantastic time. Tons of laughing and love. The best part of engagement sessions is the chance for me to get to know my clients better, as friends. It really helps me make better photos that represent who they are on their wedding day!

Fast forward to October. A beautifully sunny day, at a winery in the middle of Washington state. The perfect setting for this freaking fantastic pair of humans and their treasured companion.

The involvement of their beloved dog in the ceremony and festivities HAS to be one of my favorite elements to this wedding. He is the sweetest thing and meanwhile, does exactly what he wants ALL of the time. A creature after my own heart.

The bride and groom getting ready is always a fun time. Similar to the engagement session, this portion of the day serves as an ice breaker, but this time, with the wedding party. They get to know me, I get to know them. This makes the rest of the day smooth sailing! The whole wedding party act comfortably and are totally themselves, making for more real, candid, memorable moments documented in the pictures.

I can’t possibly say enough words that would adequately give justice to the beauty of this day, the remarkable people, the location, and all the wonderful vendors. My friend, Andrea, the bride, did such a beautiful job of planning this wedding. I made a few new friends, the florist, Colibrí Blooms, who made these INSANELY gorgeous floral arrangements and the suuuuper talented wedding planner/designer, Rock and Stone Weddings.

Lastly, a few of my favorites from the wedding reception. I LOVE DANCING PHOTOS!! I am that wedding photographer. The one that will dance WHILE taking photos. Believe it.
