the five best things about blueberry farm mini sessions
I love this family. And I love taking photos of them. They are basically celebrities on my blog, since I photograph them all the time. The blueberry farm mini session is one of their favorites. They meet me at the farm for pictures every July!
For proof, here’s another blueberry farm mini session with them right here.
Why do they love it??
The blueberries are DELICIOUS - tons of varieties, some even the size of a quarter!! You’re even allowed to sample a few while picking!
The Rusty Plow Farm is gorgeous - family owned blueberry farm - expansive views, mount rainier in the background, barns, nature and sunshine. What more could you ask for?!
The kids have a mission! In my 9 years of photographing families with small children and 5 years specializing in documentary family photography, I have found it helps so much if kids have an activity. They are less likely to have a melt down if they are focused on picking as many fresh blueberries as they can possibly fit in their buckets (and tummies). Also, a huge plus, is that having a family activity helps facilitate REAL MOMENTS and candid photos.
Family friendly environment! - Sue and Dave are the most delightful people and they will make sure you have THE BEST time on your visit. Cherry on top, you can leave your family pictures knowing you’ve supported TWO small, family owned businesses that day. How great is that?!
So, if you’ve been way too busy to schedule family pictures, or you just keep putting them off because, LIFE, consider a blueberry farm mini session. They are quick, easy, and build family memories like you wouldn’t believe!!
Take it from my friend, Miranda:
“Anna has been photographing our family for nearly ten years. Everything she creates for us is amazing and I'm always thrilled that we booked time with her -- but the blueberry farm sessions have become a necessity. Our girls look forward to making their way through the rows of giant blueberries; pick one, eat one (or two) is their strategy. It's a wonderful experience for our family, we come away with amazing, local berries and equally amazing photographs. The images from our blueberry farm sessions have been my favorite to display in my home. The girls are determined to find the best berries, running through the rows with joy and doing their best not to be caught eating yet another berry. The result is natural, beautiful pictures of my family. Anna captures it all perfectly, with a backdrop of a perfect pacific northwest family experience.”
McDonald family, THANK YOU for believing in me and my photography for nearly a decade. It’s because of families like you that I found my passion in my work. And for that I am endlessly grateful.
love your photographer,
Anna
