four reasons I love fall mini sessions at the beach // in black and white

Golden Gardens is a magical place.

And I love taking photos of my families there. Not only is the landscape beautiful, but it is a local park that is a meaningful memory-filled place for many of my clients.

Why do I love it??

  1. There are so many things to do at the beach.

Bring a picnic, build sandcastles, skip rocks, watch windsurfers, anything!

  2. You’re making memories.

So, I have to say. I hope you’re doing this at all of my sessions. This Is the reason my mini sessions are longer than the typical photographer’s mini sessions. I want your family to do more than just smile for the camera - I want you to be living life together. This makes for beautiful, authentic, memory-filled moments that you will have documented forever.

  3. The kids have a mission!

In my 10 years of photographing families with small children and 5 years specializing in documentary family photography, I have found it helps so much if kids have an activity. They are less likely to have a meltdown if they are focused on watching the ducks or collecting shells. Also, a huge plus, is that having a family activity helps facilitate REAL MOMENTS and candid photos. Laughter, spontaneous hugs, expressions of love and connection that are real and unscripted, you get the idea.

  4. Convenient

This is a big one for me. I have many mini-session events that take place outside of Seattle, but this one is right in the heart of my community. A really special local spot that Seattle families can easily get to without dealing with traffic, planning around naps and meals, etc. With that being said, these sessions are open to families who don’t live in Seattle. But if that’s you and convenience is paramount, check out my mini sessions in Snohomish, Maple Valley, Auburn, and Enumclaw.

So, if you’ve been way too busy to schedule family pictures, or you just keep putting them off because, LIFE, consider an apple orchard mini session. They are quick, easy, and build family memories like you wouldn’t believe!!

love your photographer,

Anna
