Summer mini sessions at Golden Gardens

It's Been a While — And I've Missed This

I was scrolling back through old sessions the other week, and I ended up somewhere I didn't expect: years deep into my archive, looking at photos of families I haven't seen in far too long.

Kids who were barely walking are now losing teeth. Babies I photographed swaddled and sleepy-eyed are now running circles around their parents on the beach. It stopped me for a minute. Time moves fast, and somewhere in the busyness of life, a lot of us lost touch.

So I've been thinking about what brought me here in the first place — and it's you. The families who let me into some of your earliest, most tender moments. The ones who trusted a photographer still finding her footing. The ones who came back, session after session, and made this feel like more than just a job.

Golden Hour, Golden Gardens

This summer, I wanted to create a reason to reconnect. So I'm hosting a small round of golden hour mini sessions at Golden Gardens — one of my favorite places to shoot in this city. The light there in the evening is unlike anywhere else: soft, warm, a little dreamy. It's the kind of light that makes even a quick 20-minute session feel like something worth keeping forever.

These sessions are relaxed and low-key by design. No big production, no long list of poses — just your family, the beach, and that golden light doing most of the work. It's a simple way to press pause for a few minutes and capture where everyone is right now, before another year slips by.

Why This Feels Different

Photography has always been about more than just pictures for me. It's about the version of your family that exists this summer — the one that won't look quite the same next year. It's about handing you something to hold onto once the season's over.

If it's been a while since we've worked together, I hope this is your sign. I'd love to see how much everyone's grown, hear what's new, and spend a little golden hour catching up — camera included.

Sessions are limited this summer, so if you've been thinking about it, now's a good time to reach out.

I've missed this. I've missed you. Let's catch up.

Love, your photographer
