Let’s Redefine Newborn Photos (Because You’re Not a Pinterest Board)
There’s this idea out there that newborn photos have to look a certain way—glossy, overly posed, not a hair out of place (including the baby’s). But if you're anything like the families I work with, that’s not your real life right now—and thank goodness.
My newborn sessions are a gentle rebellion against the cookie-cutter. They’re for the sleepy-eyed, love-soaked, just figuring-it-out kind of days. You know the ones—when your house smells like coffee and diapers, your baby is basically a burrito with opinions, and you’re falling in love with someone new while still remembering who you are.
This is where the good stuff lives. And that’s what I’m here to capture.
I photograph newborns the way they arrive: soft, honest, and full of soul. Think quiet cuddles, real connection, and moments that make you say, “Oh wow, that’s us.” It’s less “smile for the camera” and more “let’s freeze this wild, wonderful blur.” You don’t have to clean the house, dress fancy, or pretend you’re not exhausted. I’m not documenting perfection—I’m celebrating this sacred, messy, magical time in your life.
And listen, these sessions are fun. Yes, you’ll be sleep-deprived. Yes, your dog will probably photobomb. And yes, we’ll still get images that stop you in your tracks—because you’ll see your family in them. Not a filtered version. You.
So if you're in Seattle and you’re into keeping it real, creating beautiful art with your newest love, and maybe even having a laugh or two along the way—I'm your person.
Let’s make something meaningful, together. Pajamas welcome.
Love, your photographer
