My Newborn Sessions Aren’t What You Expect - And That’s a Good Thing!
Here’s the truth: the newborn days are beautiful and bananas. You’re sleep-deprived, possibly leaking from multiple places, and figuring out how to hold a baby while microwaving your third cup of coffee for the fifth time. It’s raw, it’s real—and it’s everything I love to photograph.
My newborn sessions are not about perfectly posed babies in flower pots or pristine white backdrops with no hint of real life in sight. (No offense to the flower-pot babies of the world.) I’m a lifestyle photographer, which means I’m here to capture your real-life magic—snuggles on the couch, tiny fingers wrapped around yours, your dog awkwardly sniffing the baby, and the way your partner looks at you like you’ve just done something superhuman.
(Because, hi, you did.)
You don’t need to have it all together.
In fact, I prefer it when you don’t. Show up in your comfiest sweats, or go full linen-floaty-vibes if that’s more your speed. I’ll gently guide you into natural, connected moments that feel like you—no stiff posing, no forced smiles, no fake perfection.
These sessions are short, sweet, and full of heart. I’ve designed them to be relaxed, low-pressure, and actually fun. Yes, fun. (I know, what a concept—fun with a newborn.) We’ll laugh, we’ll coo over your sweet babe, and we’ll make some dang good art out of this fleeting, foggy, magical chapter of your life.
So if you’re in the Seattle area and looking for a creative, intentional photographer who’s equal parts artist and human being who gets it, I’m your girl. Let’s slow it down, soak it in, and make some memories you’ll actually want to hang on your walls.
Love, your photographer
