Cherry Blossom Mini Sessions 2025 // black and white

Every spring, like clockwork, the cherry blossoms show up in Seattle—and every year, they leave me just a little bit speechless. 2025 was no exception. This season’s mini sessions were full of color, movement, light, and so many beautiful, blink-and-you-miss-it moments that make lifestyle photography what it is: real, emotional, and entirely unique to you.

I had the absolute joy of photographing families, couples, babies, and belly bumps beneath the blooms this year. And whether your toddler was running wild (yes, please), your baby needed snuggles between shots, or your partner was "not a photo person" but ended up smiling by the end—thank you. You made this season magic.

The Setting: Spring at Washington Park Arboretum
If you’ve never experienced peak bloom at the Arboretum, just know this: it’s like stepping into a painting. A soft pink haze above, dappled sunlight sneaking through the trees, petals fluttering through the air like confetti. It’s fleeting, delicate, and honestly? Kind of perfect for capturing the honest beauty of your family, just as you are.

The Experience: Quick, Easy, and Full of Heart
Mini sessions are fast, but they don’t feel rushed. That’s the sweet spot I aim for—guiding you just enough so you’re not left wondering what to do with your hands, but never forcing anything stiff or unnatural. We chase the light, we play, we laugh. And somehow, in just 15 minutes, we create a whole gallery of moments that feel like you.

The Highlights: Tiny Details & Big Feelings
A baby grabbing her mom’s face mid-giggle. A couple sneaking in a kiss while the kids are distracted. Siblings huddled under a cherry tree like it’s a secret fort. These are the things I love to photograph—not because they’re picture-perfect, but because they’re perfectly you.
