Spring & Summer Minis Are Here!!

This Year, We're Doing Things a Little Differently!

Okay, friends. It's that time of year again. The one where I get unreasonably excited about cherry blossoms and start texting people about the light. You know how I get.

Spring and summer mini sessions are officially open for 2026, and I have been waiting to tell you about this year's lineup because honestly? It's a good one.

Here's what we've got:

Cherry Blossom Minis — My most popular sessions of the entire year, and for good reason. Those soft pink blooms are ethereal, the light is dreamy, and honestly, the whole thing feels like a little bit of magic every single time. If you've been wanting cherry blossom photos, you already know — these spots go fast.

Volunteer Park Minis — One of my all-time favorite spots in Seattle. There's so much texture and beauty there, and it has this quality where it feels both grand and totally unhurried at the same time. Like the park is just quietly inviting you to slow down and hang out for a minute. Which is exactly what we're going to do.

Discovery Park Minis — You already know I love Discovery Park. I've been photographing families there for years and it never gets old. The trails, the light through the trees, that big wide open sky — it's the kind of place that makes kids run ahead and parents actually exhale. This is a new addition to summer and I'm so here for it.

Backyard Minis — This one is close to my heart. Your backyard. Your kids. Your chaos. Your dog who definitely won't cooperate. This is documentary family photography in its most honest, comfortable form — in the space where your real life actually happens. I will always have a soft spot for this one.

Now here's the new thing, and I'm kind of pumped about it.

This year I'm adding longer mini session options for those of you who want a little more — more time, more pictures, more of those good in-between moments that happen when you're not rushing. Same easy, low-key energy. Same playful, no-pressure vibe. Just a little more room to breathe and let things unfold.

Because sometimes 30 minutes is exactly what you need. And sometimes you want to linger a little longer. Now you can do both.

Here's the thing about mini sessions — and I've said this before — they were never about cramming your family in front of a backdrop and yelling "say cheese." That was never the point. Mini sessions, the way I do them, are about capturing you. Your kids being their actual selves. The way your littlest one holds your hand. The way your big kid thinks they're too cool but then loses it laughing. The moments that feel ordinary right now but will be everything when you look back.

If you've been on the fence — this is your sign. Spring goes fast (Seattle springs faster than anyone, let's be real), and these sessions book up quickly.

Drop me a message, check the booking link, and let's make some pictures together. I cannot wait to see you out there.

Love your photographer,

Anna
