2026 recap - spring mini sessions in seattle
My heart is so full
after these sessions. So full.
A little recap — and some news I think you'll love.
Volunteer Park this spring was something else. There's a quality to that place that I've never quite been able to put into words — it's grand but it doesn't feel rushed, it's beautiful but it doesn't feel fussy. It just feels like a long exhale. Watching families wander those paths, kids darting toward the conservatory, toddlers stopping to inspect every single flower like it might be the most important thing they've ever seen — I was living for it.
Every single session.
That park has a way of making people slow down and just be with each other. And that's exactly when I get my favorite pictures.
And then Discovery Park — the trail light, the open sky, parents actually exhaling for the first time in what felt like weeks. Kids running ahead. Dogs being chaotic. Golden hour doing its thing and making everything look like a memory while it's still happening.
These sessions reminded me exactly why I do this. It's not about perfect poses or perfectly coordinated outfits (though I love when you go for it). It's about thirty minutes of just being together — and the pictures that come out of that? They get me every time.
NEW THIS SUMMER
Backyard minis are
leaving the city.
I've heard from so many of you outside of Seattle who wanted in on backyard sessions — and I listened. I'm opening up three new dates this summer and spreading out across the area. Same cozy, low-key, come-as-you-are energy, just closer to home for you.
