I didn’t get newborn pictures and I deeply regret it.

I know it’s crazy. A photographer not getting photos taken? Maybe it’s a cobbler’s shoe situation.

But really, I think it had more to do with the fact that I just wanted to sit and stare at my baby all day. I was super into the slow of it all, soaking in the first few days of my sweet baby’s life. I couldn’t be bothered to pick up the phone and make it happen.

But I warn against this all the time - don’t make the same mistake I made. Plan ahead, prioritize, make sure this special, fleeting moment in your life is documented.
