are mini sessions right for me? // black and white

A red-headed toddler and his mom gather rocks on the beach at Golden Gardens in Seattle.

I am fully convinced that mini-sessions are always a good idea.

There are a few huge benefits to doing a mini session for your holiday family pictures. One of the biggest reasons is budget. You get the most for your dollars when you book a seasonal mini-session with me Because I book these sessions back to back at the same location, I am able to charge only for photographing and editing hours - not my travel time. I am able to reduce the cost for nearly the same amount of time photographing because of this.

Additionally, we benefit from these stock locations because I frequently photograph families at these beautiful spots! I have studied them and know them like the back of my hand. I know the light at each time of day. I know the best spots for portraits in each season. I have studied which angle gets me the most winter greens in the frame. Because of this, I am so quick to make artful family photos for you. I am able to utilize my time more efficiently, saving you time and energy. This isn’t a quick pose pose done type of mini session. If you want a 15 minute session, I am not your vibe. I want to spend some time getting to know your family with my camera. I want zero stress. I want your kids to have so much fun, they ask to do it again. Because if your kids are having fun, perfection is no longer top of mind, enjoying one another is.
