One of my favorite couples asked me to do a newlywed holiday session at the tree farm shortly after their wedding and of course I said HECK YES!

It seems sometimes people get caught up in family photos being people with kids. It seems photos of couples are always engagement or wedding photos. But seriously.

A family can take many forms, my friends!!

I remember when Derek and I were first married, we waited a bit to have a kid. People would ask us “when are you planning to start a family?” And I was always caught off guard. Ummm, start?

We ARE a family!

So, yeah. I consider these family pictures! Of course, I do!

So, whether you want photos of you and your significant other, your dog, your kids, or your best friends/roommates, let’s photograph the heck out of it!! THAT’S YOUR FAMILY.
