mini session stories // small child big scissors black and white

Small child big scissors.

July 2017

When I photographed this family at the lavender farm for summer mini sessions, it did not take me long to find my story. These twin boys were sharing scissors, passing them back and forth, watching each other cut lavender, and judging each other’s methods.

One of the boys, in particular was a little more wild his his wielding of the scissors. His twin brother watches with concern.

Mini sessions are like short stories. A chapter in the book of your year.

When I photograph your family, I search for stories. I find them while I’m making beautiful photos of meaningful connection and love. It may be the way your child is attached to a favorite stuffy or the fact that your kid is a little unruly with those giant scissors while they cut lavender for a bouquet at the lavender field.

I would love to meet your family at the lavender field. And find those little stories that fill the pages of the book that uniquely represents your life, your people.
