2022 documentary style seasonal mini sessions // black and white

Another year is behind us and photography season is on the horizon. Once again, I find myself looking through the photos I took of your wonderful families last year with a giant smile on my face.

I love capturing the essence of my families through photographs.

I can’t wait to do it all again in 2022!!

People were always asking me about mini sessions.

Your kids are growing like weeds. Your life is busier than you ever thought possible. You see the value in getting photos taken, but you want to cut out the fuss and get a quick session checked off your to-do list.

I totally get it. In fact, I get it so much that I’ve built my business around it. Mini Sessions are my jam.

I love being able to make my sessions accessible to all families and keep my photography affordable.

For this reason, last year, I chose to rebrand as a mini-session photographer. This has always been an objective to me. I have always believed that my clients should be able to get photos taken of their family AT LEAST once a year, maybe more! My mini sessions allow for this to happen. They are low maintenance, fun, and super easy!

Below are some examples of my lifestyle mini sessions for each season of 2022!

SPRING

In the spring, we meet up at the beach for some fun in the sand and sea or at the arboretum to celebrate the return of light and plant life! We also have the option of picking strawberries in Snohomish in June.

SUMMER

Picking blueberries at the farm, running through the sprinkler in your yard or local park, and picking lavender at the most aromatic farm in all the land. SUMMER.

I shoot my mini sessions like short stories.

This is how I am able to apply a documentary style to your family pictures. I pay close attention to the story that is unfolding of your family that day.

An activity that brought your family together, spending time engaging with one another, unplugged, and focused on the people you love most. Ignoring the camera and just allowing your life to be documented.

FALL

From picking juicy apples off the tree to make a yummy pie at home to running through the fields covered in pumpkins, searching for the perfect one to take home and carve to playing at the beach in golden light, fall mini sessions are filled with fun and love and memory-making adventure.

HOLIDAY

At the tree farm or Swanson’s Nursery, your family arguing over which tree will actually fit in your living room. Breaking the needles in half to smell the freshness of the pine. Cutting down the trunk with an old school saw, while your daughter helps, her little hand on yours, back and forth, back and forth until the tree falls and you carry it as a family back to your car.

This is THE GOOD STUFF!

The mini-stories that fill the pages of your book called LIFE.

Love, your photographer

Anna
