blueberry farm mini sessions // black and white

On a magical day in August, I hung out with this wonderful family. This is one of those times where I am like, well shoot. Why does this session have to be so short?!

When we met at the farm, I started chatting with them and couldn’t stop. They are such wonderful and fun people. I had to actually force myself to stop talking and pick up my camera. This is hard for me sometimes!!

Summer mini sessions at the Blueberry Farm are my favorite. I loooove hanging out with families and taking real-life, meaningful photos of their time together.

My secret to getting unposed, real moments during a short time frame is simple, have an activity. It’s like a family date! When everyone has a job, they forget about my camera and just enjoy their time together. This works for apple orchard, pumpkin farm, and tree farm mini sessions.

It’s my best trick!

If you’re a photographer interested in hosting less conventional, more meaningful mini sessions, feel free to look around at some of the other mini sessions I offer and details I share about how I run mine. Mini sessions don’t always have to be cheesy kissing booths or an obscene amount of collected props. They can be real. They can be honest. And they can be so meaningful that your clients shed tears when they see them.

A message for this rad fam,

THANK YOU, for spending the morning with me at the blueberry farm. Thank you for your support of my small business and the love you show me as your friend AND photographer. You remind me why I love this job!

As for the rest of you, if you have any questions about mini sessions, I am here for you. Whether you are a photographer interested in providing documentary style mini sessions or a family in the Seattle area interested in getting a fun family date documented with a handful of family portraits, I’m your girl.

Love your photographer,

Anna
