Celebrate Spring with Cherry Blossom Mini Sessions at the Arboretum // black and white

Spring in Seattle means one thing for my photography calendar—cherry blossom mini sessions at the Washington Park Arboretum! The soft pink blooms, fresh green leaves, and golden spring sunlight make this one of the most magical times of the year to capture beautiful family portraits. The Arboretum is the perfect backdrop, with its winding pathways and dreamy blossoms that create a setting straight out of a storybook.

Cherry blossoms are special not only because they’re stunning, but because they’re fleeting. The window for peak bloom is short, making these sessions truly one-of-a-kind. I carefully plan my mini sessions to align with the best possible time to capture the blossoms in their full glory, giving your family the most beautiful springtime portraits. It’s a little bit of planning, a little bit of luck, and a whole lot of nature’s beauty coming together for something truly magical.

One of the best things about scheduling a spring session? It takes the pressure off later in the year! So many families wait until fall or the holiday season to squeeze in photos, but spring is the perfect alternative. The kids aren’t bundled in coats, the light is soft and flattering, and the setting is full of fresh, natural color. Plus, you’ll have your photos ready well in advance if you want to use them for holiday cards, gifts, or just to update your walls with bright, cheerful portraits.

My cherry blossom mini sessions are designed to be quick, fun, and easy. Whether your little ones love to run under the trees, pick up fallen petals, or cuddle close for some sweet moments, I’ll capture it all in a way that feels natural and effortless. These sessions are great for families, couples, or even solo portraits—anyone who wants to embrace the beauty of spring!

Because peak bloom is so short-lived, these sessions are some of my most popular of the year and always fill up quickly. If you’ve been thinking about booking, don’t wait—spots are limited, and once they’re gone, they’re gone! Let’s make some beautiful springtime memories together under the blossoms. I can’t wait to see you there!

Love your photographer,

Anna
